Steve Coton and Lesley Willis with newsreader Mike Mather, weather boy Billy Mallett and engineer Sam Mitchell were joined by Reg Willsher with his reflections, Karen Roberts from Thames valley Adventure playground, Alistair Eglinton reviewed the newspapers Matt Podesta talked about his furniture manufacture, Chris Barrie talked sport, Red Dwarf, Spitting Image and the state of Sutton Road and David Harrald brought us news of the financial markets! Karen Roberts is an inspiration with the Thames Valley Adventure Playground at Taplow. The council gives them an annual grant of £3200 but they have to raise £225,000 every year all by themselves!! The amazing thing is that they manage it... This is a world class facility for children with disabilities. |

"there was a fatal accident there when 13 year old Chris King was killed on his birthday on his way to Holy Trinity school where his mum was a teacher. My son was the same age - he's now 47 and they still haven't fixed the speed limit or put a pavement alongside the most dangerous road in Cookham..." |
