Panto update…

Posted on January 4th, 2009 by admin

Backstage at the Playhouse Weston Super Mare…

Timmy has over 15 costume changes in the show and some of his costume chages are VERY VERY quick! We caught a glimpse as he swapped his slosh outfit for the acrobatic routine and then met other cast members in between running on stage!

Ever wondered who is inside the crocodile? It’s Billy Mallett making his onstage pantomime debut!

After each show Timmy comes to the foyer and signs autogrpahs and souvenirs for everyone. Timmy is the only panto star who does this and the audiences love it….

Christmas Day Dip!

Posted on December 27th, 2008 by admin

Because he’s a nutter, Timmy decided to spend his Christmas Day taking part in a traditional dip in the sea in Weston Super Mare.

Was it cold? Yep, it was utterly freezing! So cold it froze his biff baff boffs off!

Hundreds turned out to watch including the intrigued press.

The Met Office said the sea was the coldest it had been in 40 years.  Ouch! Only Timmy would be mad enough to do this!

Biff Baff Boff - Recording the single!!

Posted on December 15th, 2008 by host

Barry Upton who put Steps together is producing the Biff Baff Boff single and he turned up on Sunday lunchtime with a tiny little portable studio to record Timmy’s vocals to the track.

It was a difficult time becuase Timmy was in the middle of a tech run for panto but they managed it in a little over an hour with a break for one of Timmy’s comedy routines in the Pater Pan Panto.

The song has 4 verses - two new ones added by the team to the work that David and Tmmy had done in the jungle.

It’s a real sing along song which will be a big hit with party goers! The final mixdown will happen over the next few days and it’ll be available for download very shortly!

Panto Update.. It’s Getting Messy!

Posted on December 11th, 2008 by host

Rehearsals for Timmy’s panto in Weston-super-Mare are going well.

They have started work on the kitchen scene - based on a bush tucker trial - and boy it’s a beauty!

Robert Kiljoy Sulk will love it lots as Timmy is comprehensively trashed! This was the first time working the scene with the props and judging from the howls of laughter from the crew it’s going to be one of the highlights of the show!

Coming Home!

Posted on December 10th, 2008 by host

Coming home was never going to be a quiet affair with Timmy around! There was no room in the chauffeur car and Timmy was shoved in the truck to keep the luggage from bouncing out!

The new Airbus 380 double decker plane was blessed with a Mallett howl! The shower was great, and so was the lounge and bar. The crew were very excited to meet Timmy and Esther and cued up for photos.

There was no shortage of paparazi at Heathrow to hear of Timmy’s journey home and the ITV Coming Home show crew couldn’t believe the amazing decorations that friends and neighbours had done to Timmy’s house, including Biff Baff Boff posters on the gate, and a fabulous red carpet to the decorated door and the jungle rooms inside!

‘I’ve never seen so many Crocodiles’ said Timmy, in amzement! Thats what you get when your friends and family have enjoyed the show as much as they did!

There was just time to unpack, repack and fall asleep before driving off to the West Country and a warm weston welcome for Panto!

The Wrap Party - exclusive pictures!

Posted on December 7th, 2008 by host

The I’m A Celebrity wrap party was held in Coolangatta an hour away on the Gold Coast. Limos brought the stars to the venue and Esther and the Malletts spent the ride putting the World to Rights, discussing our next few weeks, and speculating who would end up going to Brian’s wedding!

The jungle police turned up looking glamourous “hey Timmy I was on Mallett’s Mallett when I was 8 , do you remember me?!” Of course I do! said Timmy but I think you were a little smaller!

They arrested Brian armed with spud guns - “hey Brian you can spend the rest of party peeling spuds - we know how much you love that job!”

Simon sang some songs, which didn’t go down too well cos everyone wanted Biff Baff Boff! Martina wanted her hat signed and David, Timmy and Joe spent the rest of the evening playing Mallett’s Mallet! Typical sort of celebrity party then wasn’t it!

Well done to the fancy dressing crew who ade a good effort coming as various favourites from the show!

For the record the owners of the property where the show is staged were there. “We moved here 12 years ago and the land was useless. A real estate agent suggested our land as a suitable location for the TV crew 7 years ago and within a week we had TV execs from London all over the place - it was the best thing that ever happened to us!”

Their 11 year old son is one of the happiest kids around. He’s been selling free range eggs from the flock of 46 hens, to the TV caterers. He’s done so well he’s been able to buy 2 cow his year and one of them escaped to go wandering through the camp one afternoon. It was never shown but all the celebrities loved it!
