The bear came down to drink
Wapiti campsite in Jasper is bear country. The black bears come down to the roadside to eat the berries in July and August.
Billy went exploring across the campsite and found this delightful little stream cascading down from the mountains. "This is great place to paint" he declared.
Absorbed in the painting, I looked up to see this black bear 10 paces away across the stream. He looked up, face dripping with water, checked he was in the picture, and ambled off!

This view in my sketchbook is a 180 degree vista of the sun going down along it's length starting at Pyramid Mountain on the left (above Jasper)
