Knutsford campsite near Kamloops
Kamloops can get unbearably hot in the middle of summer. We arrived on a typical August day with temps up at 38 degrees. The tourist information people suggested Knutsford for some cool relief high up above the city.
It was like an oasis - an old fashioned quaint campsite under the trees in a secret dip.
I sat and sketched the facilities block and the little shop with it's huge ice freezer outside. There was a dry stream bed running through the camp. We liked it very much.

The tents had a lovely spot under these trees...
I enjoyed having the time for this painting while the family shopped for supplies.
