Putting the world to rights
Weekends in summer, locals and
tourists alike head to Lake Edith near Jasper. There's a pretty little
beach, lovely BBQ areas and cycling and hiking tracks.
Sitting on the rocks by the edge of the water were these two ladies,
Paulette and Nichola from Edmonton, who were admiring the view
and chatting away!
Clearly mother and daughter they were absorbed in putting the World to
Rights. So much so that they never noticed me sketching them until I'd
finished. That sketch formed the basis for this oil painting back
in my studio.
