Lake Moraine

Lake Moraine is famous for appearing on Canadian Banknotes! I suppose the idea is that the view is priceless!
There were a heap of logs blocking the outflowing stream. So while Billy clamboured across them and up the scree on the other side I quickly sketched this watercolour. It was important for me to cut the tops off the mountains. It somehow concentrates the eye.
Afterwards we walked around the lake searching for bears and admiring the lichens.

Favourite saying? "Look at the colour of that water!"
