Hi Utterly Brilliant Timmy,

My name is Angela Lane (formally Matthews). I am picture number 77. I had a most fantastick night on Saturday. I am so glad you still keep the dream alive. I know you will proberly never read this. But as a kid I wrote and drew so many pictures but they were never shown....... Any way I am to old to draw so I thought I would just write and tell you about our saturday night and the child hood memories you bought back.

There was to be a group of around 20 of us that was to go to Jumping Jaks that night. for my husbands 31st birthday. At the time before arrival we did not know that you were even going to be there as we (my husband Richard, our mate Glen and I) had come down from Milton Keynes for the night. Timmy, are we glad we saw you, I think we would have cried if we knew we'd missed you ! Only 3 of us made it as all the others had Flu, streaming candle sticks noses and brandy coughs. So as caring bods, we dropped off a case of beer to them and we went to Jumping jaks still !

When we got there we text them a picture of you and they were "fliping their lids" that means dead jealous. It just goes to show that ever thirty-some-things do not grow up and we still love our childhood heroes and there for I aspired to meet you.

My husband bought me a "Pinky Punky" which you signed for me and it is now a much treasured possession, next to my royal worcester. In fact we have had to lock in our home safe as my brother and his mates have already tried to pinch it for a ransome !!!

Here is a funny story that my Nan still tells.....

When my brother Barry and I was young my Aunt Julie Matthews worked as a trampoling instructor at the Sobell leisure centre in London. On one of you many half term events as we watched you on TV that half term, my brother and I jumped on our nans sofa pretending to trampoline, just like you, calling out the names of the jumps. Then we realised that it was our aunt standing next to you !!!

"Jumping Julie" as you nicked named her, had to teach you how to trampoline as she taught my brother Barry and I. We were distraught as she did not tell us or even hint that she was working with our idol let alone not getting your autograph for us.

My brother and I did not speak to her for two years after that was shown on TV as she never told us that she was working with you at the time,,,,, All my friends thought she was well cool working with a superstar like yourself. Unfortunaly we did not realise that it was filmed 3 weeks beforehand ! ha ha ha . Any way we all made up and she is still know as Jumping Julie ( now been 45 herself)!

I guess you would not remember this as it was 15 years ago. But hey, it was one of the many highlights of our childhood. When I was a kid I use to love half term knowing that you was to be on TV AM, with all our fantastic adventures. Unfortuanly, we all grew up and TV AM is no longer. However we will never forget you timmy ....

All my love and bluggghhhhhhh

Angela (Aged 30!)

Of course I remember Jumping Julie! It's why I am still the greatest trampoliner in the World!

Great letter, Angela!

love from Timmy!
