Solway Lass at Whitehaven Beach

The sand is a perfect fine white tiny grain and the hat belonged to one of my fellow passengers, a singer. My son, Billy, is running along the shore and I like to think he represnts the child in all of us gazing on the scene with wide eyed wonderment... You will not believe the turquiose green of the water, and nobody who has ever seen this beach can quite forget it. I sprinkled the fine white sand onto the wet paint and it's given it a lovely genuine texture.
