Rainforest moment
This is a large painting that shows the darkness of the rainforest. We think of it as all green, but the different shades of green are amazing. Look at the huge tree roots growing around that massive boulder and the beautiful delicate blue Ulysses butterfly. We were up near the Crystal Cascades at Redlynch and while our families built dams and splashed in the waterfalls my friend and fellow artist Melissa Karydas, and I painted this. That's me in my orange trunks painted by Melissa!
