Amalfi, Italy

I painted this early morning view of the sun coming up above Amalfi from the harbour. I love the way the town is pearly white contrasting with the coastline revealed in deep shadows.
The towns along this coast cling to the mountain side and driving along the coastroad is a memorable experience!

Round the corner heading south, Amalfi clings to the massive overhanging mountain and the little beaches become secret discoveries. There's a lovely restaurant on the bend here that does the best seafood in town!
