Sunset over Cookham Pound
The sun is setting on Cookham's narrow thoroughfare - the Pound - where in the olden days they corraled the livestock. Now the tail lights of cars are reflected in the road and everything else is in sharp silhouette as the sun sets spectacularly over Winter Hill.
To the right is the pub sign for Spencers and on the left the welcome 20 mph traffic calming sign. It's such a narrow little street with barely enough pavement space for one. There used to be a pub at either end of the Pound but The Gate pub was demolished some years ago and in its place? Of course - flats!
