Amalfi Road, Italy
Winding high above the bay is the road to Amalfi. I took a detour above this church and watched the sun glinting on the sea and the dome. Down below a farmer was clearing his old orchards and burning a sweet smelling bonfire. The figure on the left is the youngster who spent an hour or more watching me paint and commenting in Italian!
