Vincent Van Gogh famously painted a night scene in Arles. I stood on a bridge to the ile de la cite under a street lamp and painted this atmospheric scene. In some ways it's more emotional at night when the street lamps reflect in the Seine. The tricky part was knowing if I was seeing the correct colours at night!
