This painting portrays the party thrown by the Railway company in grateful thanks to the children for saving the Railway after the landslide. The chairman of the company, the old gentleman in the rear carriage, gives a speech and the band tries desparately to play a rousing number for the party.It's the one time we actually get to see the station in it's countryside setting. But the question that intrigues me is - here's the station, where's the village?!
