This painting shows how the film was made on the Keighley and Worth valley railway. It shows the mill town in the distance and the village spreading up the hillside. In the image I found to make this painting the loco was in fact heading backwards so the steam was billowing out of the front and heading forwards from the chimney. You'll see it heading backwards here and sending our train into the sunshine.
I like the strong shadows from the trees and hence it's sunshine and steam!
