Venice - Skyline
The Venetian skyline is spectacular like this - back lit against a strong sun. The water is full of the mooring poles for the myriad boats. I chose to leave most of them out of this painting instead concentrating on the single gondola dwarfed by towers of Venice.
This was a favourite view of canaletto in the golden age of venetian art.
