MIKE MYERS ON THE WIDE AWAKE CLUB!

Mike Myers got his first break in TV on the Wide Awake Club when he and Neil Mularkey did a sketch called the Sound Asleep Club!

They wrote and perfomed their own 3 minute skits.

Timmy recalls! “Mike was terrible at getting out of bed so someone had to go round to his flat and throw stones at his window to wake him!"

"After the show he would have lashings of maple syrup on his breakfast!"

“And he used to practise his accents in the canteen — that was the first time we heard the Scottish Shrek one."

MEETING AT SHREK! Mike's first comment was - "couldn't you have worn something more colourful, Timmy?!"

"In the fun stakes Mike Myers was shown up by national treasure Timmy Mallett who flew the flag for British eccenticity by wearing (as per usual) a completely bonkers outfit." (Catwalk Queen)
